    Eid: My Super Awesome Holiday

Hey everyone! You know how in America there’s Christmas? Well, us Muslims have something super cool too, it’s called Eid. Guess what? It’s not just one day, but three whole days of fun! On Eid, we go to visit our family and friends. The grown-ups talk and eat lots of food, and us kids? We get to play games with our cousins and friends, either outside or in a different room. And there’s this awesome part where adults give us kids money called “Eidy.” It’s like getting presents, but in cash!

For Eid, we all dress up super fancy because it’s part of the celebration. Since my family is here in America and a lot of our relatives are far away in Afghanistan, we don’t have too many places to go. But we still make it special by visiting people my dad knows. I love Eid the most because we get to chill, see our friends and family, and also get some money! I mean, I know money isn’t everything and can’t buy happiness. But when I do get some, I run to the store to buy loads of candy! And we do something else too which I am going to write.

Me and my cousins have this cool tradition. We use our Eid money to buy toy guns and plastic bullets. Then, we give them all to my brothers. Why? So they can protect us from the kids in the other buildings who try to sneak a peek at us. It’s like our little adventure. Eid happens every year, and those three days are the absolute best days of the whole year. I super duper love Eid!!! It’s always going to be my number one holiday!!!
